Kainan Julius Provost of 8 Stanley Way, Plattsburgh, NY, died Sunday, April 18th, 2021, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Plattsburgh, March 11, 1997. Kainan graduated from Peru Central School in 2015. He was an avid soccer player, playing for Peru, Soccer United, Chazy, as well as indoor soccer. He even had his own team at one time called Touch & Go. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served his country proudly as an In-flight Refueler (Boom Operator). He traveled the world until his honorable discharge in 2019. When Kainan happily returned home to the Adirondacks, he trained and obtained his realtors license. He worked as a waiter at the Mariner Bar and Grill. Thank you to the Mariner for taking a chance on him. Most recently he was employed at Busters Sports Bar and Grill. Kainan had an unquenchable curiosity. If interested he would pour his heart and soul into it. He loved to learn new things. He pursued dog training and made his own website, Dog Logic 518. A video may be seen on youtube. He loved his dog Finn as he did previous family dogs, Hobie and Nico. Kainan leaves an unquestionable hole in the hearts of many. His multiple friends that he has impacted, his loyal dog and best friend Finn, parents, Janine and Doug Holdridge, and Ray Provost; brother, Kaleb Provost; grandparents, Donna Chappee, Marcia Bailey, and Harry Provost; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kainan was predeceased by his grandmothers, Emily Holdridge, Marjorie Holdridge, and Marge Provost; grandfathers, Vincent Bailey, and Lawrence Holdridge; great-grandmothers, Virginia Chappee, Arlene Bailey, and Marilyn Hill Chappee. His presence, loving soul, positive energy and genuine desire for knowledge will absolutely be missed. Calling hours will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 1 to 3 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A celebration of life will be held, Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 1 to 4 PM at the Valcour Inn and Conference Center. His military service will be honored at 2 PM.
