Ronald R. "Ron" Trombly, 93, of the LaValley Road, Mooers, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the UVM Health-Network, CVPH Plattsburgh. He was born in Mooers on February 4, 1928, the 9th of 10 children born to Frank and Harriett (Fisher) Trombly. Outside of his family, Ron's greatest love was of horses and the outdoors. Ronald spent a career in sales which brought to live in many parts of the county. He and his family settled in Mooers in 1969 where he spent the remainder of his life. Ron enjoyed spending his free time hunting, gardening and watching the Yankees. Survivors include his children Sandra (Lawrence) Romaine, Randy (Anna) Trombly, Mark (Wanda) Trombly, Ronald, and Marlene (Mark) Hildenbrandt; and a brother, Daylord Trombly. Ronald is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Jacqueline (Owens) Trombly; daughters, Louanne Dragoon and Roxanne Dumas; and 8 siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 5 to 7 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Ann's Church, Mooers Forks, with the Rev. Adrian Gallagher, celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, LaValley Road, Mooers. Donations in memory of Ronald R. Trombly may be made to Mooers Volunteer Fire Department.
