Patricia Ann Coleman, 80, of Plattsburgh, and formerly AuSable Forks, NY, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2020, at her daughter Suzanne's home in AuSable Forks. Born in Plattsburgh, NY, on February 23, 1940, she was the daughter of the late, Van F. and Marion (Mongeon) Mace. She was united in marriage to Lon R. Coleman on October 20th 1956. He predeceased her on November 16, 2019. Of this union six daughters were born: Twins - Karen (Michael) Cross and Kathy (Ricky) Siddon, Suzanne Anderson, Cynthia (Kevin) Smart, Donna L. Coleman and Pamela (William) Baldridge, all of whom survive. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Pat was also predeceased by her two brothers, Gene Mace (1999) and Steven Mace (2012) as well as her son-in-law John Anderson (2005). Pat was a licensed cosmetologist who owned and operated her own business in AuSable Forks for many years. In her later years she moved to Plattsburgh. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother who spent her entire life taking care of others. She was extremely kind hearted and always willing to help anyone in their time of need. Although in poor health for months before her death, she bore her burden with great courage and fortitude. A devout and committed Catholic, she was a sincere follower of her faith. Pat was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 1:30 pm at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Augustine's Cemetery in Peru, NY. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff at the CVPH Skilled Nursing Facility, all of whom provided consistent, professional and compassionate care throughout her stay.
