Darcy Darrell Pray, 59, of Route 9N, Keeseville, died Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, March 18, 1961, the son of Ronald B. and Margaret A. (Doner) Pray. He grew up in Keeseville and graduated from AuSable Valley Central School in 1979. During high school and thereafter, he worked for the family businesses, Pray's Farmers Market in Plattsburgh and his home, Pray's Family Farm in Keeseville. He served as a Councilman for the Town of AuSable for 12 years. He enjoyed winter vacations, and spending time with family and friends. His true love however was time with his grandchildren. It gave him great joy to see the family businesses progress into the fourth generation. Left to the cherish the memory of Darcy are, his loving wife of 30 years, Maureen (Gordon) Pray, whom he married November 3, 1989 in St. Augustine's Church in Peru; five children, Ashley Pray (Scott Richner), Joanna White (Thomas), Ronald Pray (Chelsea Frederick), Marcee Loope (Chad), and Gordon Pray (Jessie Senecal); four grandchildren, Devonte, Jocelyn, Henry, and Caleb; his father, Ronald "Woody" Pray; father-in-law, Warren "Pat" Gordon; three brothers, Blair Pray, Randy Pray, and Regan Pray; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Gordon. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 beginning at 1 pm at his home, 391 Route 9N, Keeseville, NY, 12944. His family requests casual attire, as they would like to celebrate Darcy as he worked and lived. Donations in his memory may be made to his family to be allocated to his favorite charities.
