Leonard E. "Bud" Chase, Jr., 82, of Grove Street, Keeseville, died unexpectedly, Friday, September 20, 2019 at his home.
He was born in Plattsburgh, July 13, 1937, the son of Leonard E. Sr. and Mildred R. (Davidson) Chase.
Bud grew up in Morrisonville and attended school in Morrisonville. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1955 and served proudly until his honorable discharge in 1958. He married the former Betty Busha on October 5, 1963 in St. John's Church in Keeseville.
Bud owned and operated Leonard E. Chase Used Cars in Keeseville for many years.
He enjoyed tinkering on everything he could get his hands on and also enjoyed visiting the casino. He was a devoted animal lover.
Left to cherish the memory of Bud are, his wife of nearly 56 years, Betty Chase; his children, Leonard "Steve" Chase and his companion Kim Rock, Patti Chase and her companion, David Thompson, and Edward Chase; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Chase; four grandchildren, Christopher Chase, Jennifer Chase and her companion Caleb Passino, David Thompson, and Michael Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Trinity Chase and Caleb Passino, Jr.; close friend, Floyd Therrien; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant daughter, Cora Chase; his sister, Donna Plumadore; and parents-in-law, Margaret and Clifford Busha.
At Bud's request there will be no public calling hours or services.
Donations in Bud's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
