Richard Joseph "Rick" Cayea, Jr., 59, of Ormsby Drive, Schuyler Falls, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Plattsburgh, June 8, 1959, the son of the late Richard Joseph, Sr. and Ernestine Helen (Gamlin) Cayea. He attended Northern Adirondack Central School in Ellenburg.
Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his four-wheeler at the Peru Rod and Gun Club where he was a member. He worked in construction for many years.
Left to cherish the memory of Rick are, his long-time companion, Theresa Rougier and her children, Tina Phaneuf, Tammy (Tony) Rock, Benjamin Rougier, Amanda Rougier; son, Richard Cayea, III; three daughters, Corrina Cayea and her daughter Janessa Mallaney, Leigh Anne and Patrick "PJ" Nixon and their children, Kamron, Logan and Brady, and Hope Cayea and her children, Trinady Dupee and Xander LaDue; four brothers, Ernest Cayea and companion, Barbara Reynolds, William (Tracy) Cayea, Charles Cayea and companion, Heather Walantus, and Bruce Cayea; seven sisters, Arlene and Clarence Labarge, Robin and Floyd Demarais, Jr., Bonnie Cayea Blanco, Rose and Scott Girard, Tina and Rowland Sorrell, Eva Cayea, and Crystal Cayea; and many nieces and nephews including, Heather Cayea, whom he held a special spot in his heart for.
A celebration of Rick's life will be held on his 60th Birthday, June 8, 2019 beginning at 12:30 PM at the Peru Rod and Gun Club.
