William R. "Ray" Dadds, 83, of Keeseville, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019.
He was born in Baltimore, MD, January 9, 1936, the son of the late Arnold and Edna (Juanita) Dadds.
Ray worked at skilled jobs that included carpentry, electrical, bartending, mail delivery and at Bezio Home Heating Oil Company. He loved the Adirondacks and enjoyed living most of his life in the mountains. Ray liked bowling, shuffleboard with his wife, horseshoe leagues and riding his motorcycle with his son and friends. He also rode on several charity rides and was once given "The Oldest Rider Trophy". Ray and his wife were members of the Elks Club. He was also a former member of The Sons of the American Legion. A long time hobby included crafting bird houses and bird feeders. One of his favorite things to do was fishing; Ray enjoyed many relaxing, fun times at AuSable Point with family and Laurie and Kim, as well as other fishing buddies.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Mace Dadds; 4 sons, William (Bill) and his wife Diane, Larry, Robert, William (Ray), Jr.; 1 daughter, Deanna (Dee) and her companion Jim Murray; step daughter, Cynthia McCarthy; step son, Arthur Mace and his companion Candy; 1 brother, Russell; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
A private gathering will be held by the family at a later date to celebrate his life. He will be greatly missed by many.
