Agnes L. Waters, 83, of Cornelia Street, Plattsburgh, was called to Heaven on March 29, 2019. She passed peacefully from the arms of her loving son, Scott, into the arms of her Lord and Savior while at the Essex Center in Elizabethtown.
Agnes was born on November 3, 1935, the daughter of Earl and Francis (Carpenter) Lawson.
Agnes was an avid reader and enjoyed walking, window shopping and visiting with the many shopkeepers in downtown Plattsburgh whom she had befriended over the years, and especially enjoyed playing BINGO at Champlain Valley Rehabilitation Services, which she attended regularly.
Agnes is survived by her four children; Scott Waters of Schuyler Falls, Gloria Waters of Plattsburgh, Jeffrey Waters of Keeseville, Sylvia Lynn Waters of Troy, three grandsons; Larry, Jason and Christopher of Plattsburgh, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, Agnes was predeceased by her brother, David Lawson.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather, share memories and say goodbye to Agnes on Saturday, April 6th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Clintonville United Methodist Church, 2546 State Route 9N, Clintonville. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM in the Church Sanctuary. Burial will be in the Spring in the parish cemetery.
Donations in Agnes's memory may be made to the Clintonville United Methodist Church.
