Theresa Mary (Liberty) Giddings, 84, of Route 9, Keeseville, died Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Dannemora, December 6, 1934, the daughter of Arthur and Delia (Agoney) Liberty.
Theresa worked for the Colonial Hall Nursing Home in Keeseville and was also a short order cook at Pleasant Corners Restaurant in Keeseville for 27 years.
She was a member of the Keeseville Nutrition site for over 10 years, with all her friends and family. Theresa enjoyed bingo and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her eight children, Allen Giddings of Plattsburgh, Barbara Soulia and husband, Terry of Peru, Betty Lipke of Peru, Warren Giddings and Gabi of Munich, Germany, Bruce Giddings of Vermont, Martha Glubrecht and husband, David of Spokane, Washington, Will Giddings, Jr. and wife, Robin of Keeseville, and Daniel Giddings, Sr. of Keeseville; 24 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; brother, Gilbert Liberty; sisters, Elenor Blaise and husband, Ernie, Jeannette Giddings, and Nancy Fullerton; sister-in-law, Glenna Liberty; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Giddings; son-in-law, Dick Lipke; grandchildren, Stephanie Clason, Michelle Giddings, and Mark Woodward, Jr.; brother, Lawrence Liberty; brother-in-law, Edward Giddings, Sr.; nephew, Skip Liberty; and niece, Sue Martin.
At Theresa's request there will be no calling hours or funeral. A public celebration of her life will be held Sunday, March 17, 2019 beginning at 2 PM at the VFW in Keeseville. All family and friends are welcome.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Keeseville Rescue Squad or the Evergreen Cemetery Association.
