Matthew Mesec

Obituary of Matthew Mesec

Matthew H. Mesec, 46, born in Plattsburgh, September 16, 1971, the son of Russell and Mechelle (Raymond) Mesec. On April 10, 2018 Matt went to be with all our special family members that have passed over. He resided on the Tallman Road in Champlain.

Matt was awesome, there was nothing he could not do when he decided to do it. Matt was an addict he fought for a long time, three times in rehab he beat the devil. He went to CV-TEC and got his GED, and graduated as a certified welder. As soon as all the points were off his license he enrolled in truck driving school in Syracuse, NY and graduated 3rd in the class. He drove truck for Keeseville Pellets and Pallets, drove for Glode Construction. When he started driving for Olen Harvey he knew he had found what he loved. He traveled all over the US and only had four more states to see to make the forty eight.

Matt loved cats, fishing and collecting VW and Corvette hot wheel and Matchbox cars.

Matt is survived by his parents and his Uncles and Aunts: Reginald and Debbie Mesec, Ronald Mesec, Donald and Debbie Mesec, Veronica and William LaBombard, Wanda Langley, Carmelle and Raymond Monette and Zepher and Mary Raymond. He has so many wonderful cousins I can't name them all, he was close to DJ, Ronnie, and Timmy Mesec and Eric LaBombard.

He is predeceased by his grandparents, Felix and Bertha Mesec, Domina and Clarice Raymond. Uncles: Douglas, Darrell, Claudius Mesec, Charles Langley, Jack Goldsmith, Richard Gonyo, and Edward Raymond. His Aunt: Claudette Gonyo Goldsmith, Cousin Jimmy Gonyo.

We wish to thank the Champlain/ Mooers EMS and the NY State Troopers who answered our call for help when Matt became ill. Their care and compassion was wonderful.
