Obituary of Carolyn Dagley

Carolyn "Connie" Anne Lashway Dagley, 76 of Forge Street, Ausable Forks, NY , passed away on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH.

In accordance with Connie's wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a future date at the convenience of the family.

Connie was born in Plattsburgh on February 16, 1941, the daughter of Marshall and Rita (Passino) Lashway. She went to high school at Peru Central School and graduated in 1960.

Connie worked for her parents at Lashway's Auction Service in the 1960's while owning and operating her own hair salon in Peru. She worked as an antique dealer for nearly 50 years.

Connie loved collecting antique dolls and toys. She was a charter member of the Adirondack Doll Club. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, writing, and taking care of animals. She was deeply religious and enjoyed spending time at Mother Cabrini's shrine in Peru, NY.

Connie is survived by her daughter Sarah Dagley, her grandson Balthazar Dagley, her daughter Amanda Dagley Morpurgo, her son in law Mark Morpurgo, and her former husband Alonzo Dagley and his wife Carol. She is also survived by family friends Kelly Murphy and Christine Lamar.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Rita Lashway and her sister Patricia Lashway.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Elmore SPCA, 556 Telegraph Rd, Peru, NY 12972.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Duus and Katherine, Mary, and Shannon from the ICU.

As Connie would often say, "A friend is someone you haven't met yet." We ask that you remember her words and apply them in your own life.
