Adah L. Plumadore, 88, of the Strackville Road, Saranac, died Monday, April 9, 2018, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Plattsburgh, September 29, 1929, the daughter of Issac and Grace (Martin) Burt. Adah graduated from Peru High School.
She married Charles E. Plumadore, Sr., May 8, 1948. Charles predeceased her February 10, 2008.
Adah worked for Plattsburgh Laundry for 25 years, Clinton Community College, and lastly, Head Start for 12 years where she served as the Chief Fiscal Officer.
Adah enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish the memory of Adah are, her son-in-law, William Terry, Sr.; three beloved grandchildren, Malissa Davis, William (Missy) Terry, Jr., and Jason (Dana) Terry; six great-grandchildren, Steven Farrell, Dalton Davis, Madison Davis, Riana Terry, Morgan Terry and Levi Terry; sisters, Opal Geno and companion Ed Young; Olive and Thomas Foster; brothers, David and June Murcray, and Howard and Ella Murcray; step-sister, Delia Sheldrake; God children, Richard Plumadore, Judy Van Tilburg, Rita Smart, Ricky Taylor, and Raeanne McLaughlin; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her step-father, Jerry Murcray; her daughter, Rita Terry; sons, Charles, Jr. and Frank Plumadore; sister, Grace (Richard) Lucia; brother-in-law, Marvin Geno; step-brother, Leo (Shirley) Murcray; infant step-brother Halsey Murcray and one step-brother-in-law, Al Sheldrake.
At Adah's request there will be no public calling hours or funeral service. Committal prayers and burial will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11 AM in St. Augustine's Cemetery in Peru with Rev. Alan D. Shnob, parish priest, officiating.
