Dorothy Lee Thompson, 76, formerly of Cold Spring Road, Keeseville, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at her current residence on Hill Street in Keeseville.
She was born in North Chatham, July 7, 1941, the daughter of Mortimer Stimers and the former Agnes Douglas.
Dorothy was a cook at the North Country Club in Keeseville for several years and also worked at Meadowbrook in Plattsburgh for a short time.
Dorothy enjoyed camping, crocheting, swimming, solving jigsaw puzzles with her friends, playing bingo, attending her grandchildren's athletic events, and spending time with her family.
Left to cherish the memory of Dorothy are, her children, Ernest Thompson of Vermont, Sandra Douglas and her husband, Rodney of Clintonville, James Vassar and his fiance, Toni Silloway of Vermont, and Laura McLean and her husband, Scott of Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Mortimer Stimers and his wife, Denise of Hudson; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Glenda Alger.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 2 to 3 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. Burial will be in the spring in St. John's Cemetery in Keeseville.
