Eleanor J. Stafford
Willsboro – Queen Eleanor Jean Stafford, 65, of Willsboro New York, transitioned from this life peacefully at her home, with her loving family and close friends by her side.
She was born in Plattsburgh, New York on June 28, 1951, the daughter of Claude and Dorothy Flora.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 44 years, Spencer Ross Stafford, Sr.; daughter, Samantha Rae; 7 grandchildren, Skiler Rae, Spencer Ross III, Sterlin Ryan, Sadie Renee, Sayge Rylee, Marcus Andrew, and Kaili Alexa; sister, Claudia Flora and brother, Stanley Flora, also of Willsboro, New York.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor was predeceased by her loving son, Spencer Ross, Jr.; and her brothers, John and Tom Flora.
Eleanor retired from Willsboro Central School as a school bus driver after 31 accident free years. She absolutely adored spending time with her grandchildren and cooking for her family. Eleanor enjoyed BINGO, word games, collecting pearls, casino trips, singing and dancing the night away, competing in the Essex County demolition derby, traveling with her husband to all 50 states, being the #1 tractor puller fan ("we don't go to the pulls for second place") helping others, living in the moment, celebrating with friends, and telling it like it is!
She will be remembered for her warm smile, kindness, free spirit, spunk, and zest for life. No one ever had to wonder what she was thinking! Eleanor imbued us with a quote and song from George Strait, "I ain't here for a long time, I'm here for a good time!" #redlipstick
