Nettie "Marie" Harrell
Peru - Nettie "Marie" Harrell, 74, of Route 22, Peru, died Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Eure, North Carolina, January 13, 1938, the daughter of Daniel Richard and Marie Etta (Lilly) Eure.

Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She collected teddy bears and tea pots. She enjoyed playing croquet, pinochle, and dominoes.

Marie was a former member of the Peru VFW Post 309 Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Retired Master Sergeant Agless J. "AJ" Harrell, Jr; son, Agless J. "AJ" "Joe" Harrell, III and companion Michelle "Tiny" Phaneuf of Altona; daughter, Carolyn "Jeanene" Harrell-Irving and husband Stephen A. Irving of St. Albans, VT; grandsons, Heath E.A. Eagle, Lance James Eagle and partner Clarence Barber, Clinton James "CJ" Harrell, Jarod J. Bell and wife Carrie A. Clark-Bell, and Nathan A.J. Harrell and wife Devin Colby-Harrell; granddaughters, Melissa "Missy" Bell-Durgan and husband Charles Durgan; eleven great grandchildren; and a large extended family living in North Carolina.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Cleamon Eure, Jamie Eure, Joseph Eure, and Daniel Eure; and sisters, Aileen Barden, Helen Piland, Catherine Langston, and Nellie White.

Calling hours will be held Monday, January 23, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home with Dr. Rev. Kenneth Parker, officiating. Burial will be in the spring in God's Acre Cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center, 75 Beekman Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
