Della D. Strong Keeseville - Della D. Strong, 82, of Pine Street, Keeseville, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at her daughter's home in Plattsburgh under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country.
She was born in Keeseville, September 11, 1929 the daughter of Richard and Amelia (Hart) Ouimette.
Della loved bingo and playing the penny slot machines. She enjoyed crocheting and canning, but her true joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her four daughters and sons-in-law, Doris and Craig Pawley, Sr., of Cape Coral, Florida and their children, Andrea, Lisa and husband Jim, and Craig, Jr. and wife Jen, Delores and David Vivian of Plattsburgh and their children, Sean and wife Jen, Adam, Lindsay, and David, Deborah and Howard Wemette of Plattsburgh and their children, Christina and husband Earl, Jamie, and James, and Doreen and Michael Nelson of Hesperia, California and their children, Johnathon, Joseph, and Jarred; and eight great-grandchildren, Maddox, Scarlett, Austin, Sage, Kaden, Brooke, Bethany, and Sofia.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Raymond J. Strong, January 7, 2004; four sisters, Janette, Dorothy, Marjorie, and Doris; and grandson, Brian.
Calling hours will be held Monday, January 2, 2012 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A celebration of her life will follow at 5 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, officiating. A gathering will follow at the Barracks on the former PAFB. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
