Elizabethtown - Ashley M. Grady, 16, of the Fox Run Road, Elizabethtown, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at her home.
She was born in New London, CT, December 7, 1995 the daughter of Christopher Grady and Nora Rodriguez. Ashley attended Dannemora Elementary School, Oak Street, Peru Central School, and was currently a student at the Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School.
She was an avid athlete excelling in softball, soccer and basketball. She loved to read, draw, and spend time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Nora and Travis McDougal; sister, Crystal Grady; brother, Julius Barreto; grandmother, Nora Leon, grandfather, Luis Astacio; Aunts, Lorraine Rodriguez, Andrea Astacio, Judy Astacio, Kassy Astacio, and Tamara Gomez; and cousins, Roderick Nolan, Rayshawn Phillips, and Vanessa and Melanie Arroyo.
Calling hours will be held Monday, December 26, 2011 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 1 p.m. at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Peru with Rev. Alan D. Shnob officiating.
