Phillip W. Lawrence
Willsboro - Phillip W. Lawrence, 95, formerly of the Lakeshore Road, Willsboro, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Willsboro, August 8, 1916, the son of Willis O. and Margaret (Madden) Lawrence. He graduated from Essex High School.

A lifelong resident of Willsboro, "Uncle Phil" - as he was fondly referred to by his family, owned and operated the Village Meat Market in Willsboro for many years.

Phillip lived a life of integrity. He enjoyed time with his friends and his family. In his later years he especially enjoyed his front and center seat on the porch of the Lawrence family camp where he had a most beautiful view of Willsboro Bay. Nothing pleased him more than being surrounded by family and friends at that camp.

Survivors include two nephews, Bill and his wife Faye Lawrence of Plattsburgh, and Allen Lawrence of Tamarack, Florida; one niece, Martha and and her husband Richard Wildman of East Hadley, Ma.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Catherine (Currier) Lawrence; and three brothers, Lyle, Roger, and Melvin Lawrence.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. Rev. Alan D. Shnob will officiate. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Willsboro. A reception will follow at Johnny's Family Smokehouse in Willsboro.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Seton Catholic Central School or the North Country SPCA in Westport.
