|  Diana J. "Skip" Hathaway Keeseville - Diana J. "Skip" Hathaway, 65, of Locust Lane, Keeseville, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side. She was born in Dayton, OH, July 26, 1945 the daughter of Herbert and Phyllis (Cochran) Bashaw. Diana grew up in Keeseville and graduated from Our Lady of Victory in 1963. She attended college at the University of Dayton and later performed secretarial work for several insurance companies and law offices in the Keeseville area. Lastly, she used her wonderful gift of child care by becoming a Special Education Teacher's Aide at Keeseville Elementary School. Diana spent much of her time painting, taking care of her grandchildren, and getting the daily "news" at the hair salon. Survivors include her parents, Herbert Bashaw and his wife, Ann of AuSable Forks, and Phyllis Bashaw of Orange City, FL; husband of 37 years, Richard A. Hathaway of Keeseville, whom she married July 7, 1973 in Keeseville; two sons, Kyle Matyi and his wife, Tanya of Springfield, VA, and Richard Hathaway II and his wife, Kristi of Peru; grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Matyi and Alexis and Isaac Hathaway; sisters, Toni Charles and her husband, Larry of Xenia, OH, Leitha Piskura and her husband, Rick of Deltona, FL, Christi Streitenberger and her husband, Mark of Holiday, FL, Rochelle Senecal and her husband, Dewey of Murphy, NC, Yvette Evers and her husband, Wayne of Orange City, FL, and Heather Addison and her husband, Woody of Montgomery, TX; brothers, Steven Bashaw and his wife, Jennifer of Peru, Robin Bashaw and his wife, Mary of Peru, Scott Bashaw of Deltona, FL, Dana Bashaw and his wife, Lisa of Peru; and countless nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 10 to 12:30pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at St. John's Church in Keeseville at 1pm with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, parish pastor, celebrating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in the parish cemetery.
