Veronica B. "Ronnie" Miner
Keeseville - Veronica B. "Ronnie" Miner, 93, formerly of Front Street, Keeseville died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Peru, June 16, 1917, the daughter of Hugh and Lillian (Mannix) Boswell. Ronnie graduated from Peru High School in 1937. She married Clarence Miner on October 17, 1938.

Ronnie was a devout Catholic and lifelong Communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. She will be remembered for her many years as a waitress at the North Country Club in Keeseville. Those years brought her fond memories, as she loved meeting people. During the years she lived in Keeseville her flower gardens were always a source of joy.

Survivors include her three children, Judith McCusker of Keeseville, Karen Gibeau of Plattsburgh, and Jim Miner and his wife, Karen of Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey; four grandchildren, Heidi LaPorte and her husband, Jeffrey, Chad Gibeau, Jeffrey Miner and his wife, Helen and Jason Miner; three great grandchildren, Cheyanne and Kaitlyn LaPorte, and Hayden Miner; siblings, Joan Bailey of Keeseville, and Jean Boswell of Woburn, Ma; one brother, Hugh Boswell and his wife Estelle of Utica; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Clarence, December 29, 1982; son-in-law, Michael McCusker; two brothers, Vincent "Ben" Boswell and James Patrick Boswell; two sisters, Rita Downs, and Irene Downs; and one sister-in-law, Marjorie Boswell.

Calling hours will be held Friday, August 20, 2010 from 6 to 8pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 10am at the Immaculate Conception Church in Keeseville with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, parish pastor, celebrating. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Keeseville Free Library, 1721 Front Street, Keeseville, NY, 12944 or the Keeseville Rescue Squad, 8 Pleasant Street, Keeseville, NY 12944.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Samuel F. Vilas Home and the Clinton County Nursing Home for the kindness, care and support given to us and especially to Ronnie.
