Mary A. Koke
Peru - Mary A. Koke, 93, of Route 22, Peru died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the home of her sister in Peru.
She was born in Imperial, Saskatchewan, Canada, August 7, 1917 the daughter of Harry Francis and Violet Pearl (Hedges) Kimbley.
Mary was a naturally gifted artist. She enjoyed painting, designing, and decorating ceramics and selling them in her business in NYC.
Survivors include her sister, Elizabeth Twetan of Peru; brother, George Kimbley and wife Georgianne of South Dakota; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Richard J. Koke, May 28, 2008; and siblings, Glenn, Alice, Clarence, Gladys, Violet, and Louise.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 1pm at the Independent Baptist Church in Keeseville with Pastor Russell O'Neill, officiating. Burial will be private in the Peru Cemetery Inc.
Donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Independent Baptist Church in Keeseville.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru.
