Robert W. "Bob" Desautels
Keeseville - Robert W. "Bob" Desautels, 82, formerly of Pleasant Street, Keeseville, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Horace Nye Nursing Home in Elizabethtown.

He was born in Rouses Point, December 1, 1927 the son of William J. and Merilda M. (Mitchell) Desotell.

Bob served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1947. He did his tour of duty in Germany during WWII working on generators on the motor pool. He was self-employed for many years before working for Plattsburgh Grocery until his retirement.

He enjoyed his retirement by taking long drives. He loved to shop and go to bingo with his wife and friends. Bob also enjoyed spending time with his brother and nephew at their Auto Repair Shop and Tow Service. He was always happy to go out on service calls with the boys. Bob also enjoyed gardening and spending time around his home.

Survivors include his siblings, Raymond and Jean Desautels of El Paso, TX, Floyd and Kathleen Desotell of Keeseville, Mary Ellen Daniels of Plattsburgh, Gloria and Don Durivage of West Chazy, and Susan and Howard Woodman of New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Florence (Blaise) Desautels; and two sisters, Merilda (Cooney) Duncan, and Arlene Bennefield.

There will be no public calling hours or services. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in Keeseville.
