Thoughts from Denise

Pop, I miss you so much already. I have so many happy memories of you that I'm holding close to my heart as we all get through this sad time. When I think about you, I will always remember you smiling and winking at me and saying, "Well, hello, Dee!" whenever I walked in the door. I will never forget our long car ride to Florida in the minivan when I was in third grade. We had a blast down there together, even with all that snoring coming from the other room! I love thinking about sitting on the street at your old house and catching candy during parades, playing Tripoli, cards, dominoes, and croquet, and helping you pick fresh vegetables from your garden. Remember when Janelle found that big, fat green worm in her salad bowl when we used the lettuce from the garden?! I'm always going to remember family reunions, collecting sea glass, pushing you in your wheelchair around the neighborhood in Willsboro last summer, and visiting you in Latham every chance I got. I hope you know how much I love you and how much I'm going to miss you. You always made me feel so special and important and loved. Thank you for being such a wonderful Pop. xoxo
