Morgin B. Baker
Mooers - Morgin B. Baker, 17, of the North Star Road, Mooers, died Monday, December 28, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Plattsburgh, February 24, 1992, the daughter of Rodney C. and Joanne E. (Curtis) Baker.

She grew up in Mooers and was currently a senior at NCCS in Champlain. She was a vibrant young lady who loved cheerleading. She earned her CNA at CVTEC and worked part time at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh. Her giving heart and compassion for people assisted her to follow her dream of nursing.

She loved cooking and canning with her Mom.

Survivors include her parents of Mooers; one sister, Brittany Baker; paternal grandparents, Douglas and Gwendolyn (Moore) Baker of Ellenburg Depot; paternal great-grandmother, Gertrude Moore of Ellenburg Depot; aunts and uncles, Lyn and Gary Duffy of Dannemora, Jerry and Kathy Curtis of Peasleeville, Audrey and Robert Peryea of Plattsburgh, Elma Stipanovich of Florida, Martha and Jim Alger of Peru, Julie and Kevin Finley of Ellenburg Depot, and Del and Randy Rock of Morrisonville; many cousins; and her beloved puppy, Clem.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Theresa Curtis; and special uncle, Randall Baker.

Calling hours will be held Friday, January 1, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11am at the Ellenburg Depot Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow in the Sheldon Hill Cemetery in Ellenburg Depot.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Elmore SPCA or the Mooers Fire Dept.
