Grandma was always taking care of us when we needed it! She was always the first one to make sure we had water and gatoraid after marching in the parades for the Brigaders. she was a loving caring women, She also made sure that you did the right thing and let you know when you didn't! Shewill be Missed!

Their are so many meomories...I met Gert and Reggie when Gene and I started dating in 1961. Then memories of Gert guiding me through the first weeks of motherhood,Debbie babysitting Charlie and Charlie, then Brigadiers, and all the great dinners we shared, and playing cards at the camp. Gert's sense of humor, Reggie and Gene's teasing, all of you growing up, and then finding the circle of life when I found that Georgie, my childhood teacher, pastor, and family friend and Gert were sisters, and then that your cousin Ginny was our minister here in the Forks. So many memories over the past 48 years, all good and happy ones. Charlie and I will try to be there tomorrow for all of you.

Candy & family, I am so sorry about your mom's passing. She was a good person. I remember the patience she had with us teenagers (many years ago) when we had noisy, crazy sleepovers at your house. You are all in my prayers.

Although I did not know Mrs.joyal, I do have the pleasure of working under her son George. It is with regret that I will not be able to attend the services and wish to light a candle in her memory. It is always difficult loosing a loved one and even more so with a mother. Moms are special people and it is important to remember those special moments only a mother can provide. I am very sorry for your loss and wish everyone may find some peace in their special memories. God Bless! Ceine

To all my Joyal Cousins: My condolences to all of you. It's not easy to lose a mother no matter what the circumstances. I really wish I could be there to give you all a big hug. I'm so sorry we can't attend the services. We just got home from MD. tonight. I have some wonderful memories of Aunt Gert. I wish I could be there to share them with you. Aunt Gert was not only Mom's sister, but her best friend in their younger years. They talked on the phone at least once a day. Mom always got Aunt Gert's medical advice when any of us were sick. She called Aunt Gert before she called the Dr. It was Aunt Gert's dedication to the nursing profession that inspired me to become a nurse. Aunt Gert was a hard worker, and her home was always open to all. She was an avid knitter. She gave us hand knit mittens & hats for Christmas almost every year when we were kids. They were the best, and literally lasted forever. (I still have a few pairs and don't want to part with them.) When I started to knit in my teen years, Aunt Gert was my knitting resource person, and a good one too! On our way home from MD. today, as I knit in the car, I could only think about the many ways that Aunt Gert influenced my life when I was a young girl. My memories of her are endless. I could go on & on about our family ties. I will surely miss Aunt Gert. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Remember, Aunt Gert is at peace now and she's in a better place living an everlasting life with your Dad and all of the rest of the family that have gone before us. May you be comforted and strengthened by all of the wonderful memories that you have of your wonderful mother. God bless all of you.
